GRPDA COURSE UPDATES 2015-16
Gender Inclusivity School Training back for 2017
The Glen Rock Professional Development Academy (GRPDA), a division of the Glen Rock Community School, held a workshop on Feb. 10, 2016 on Gender Inclusivity. The presenters were John Malpas, LMHC, LMFT, Director of the Gender and Family Project at the Ackerman Institute for the Family based in New York City; and Nicole Davis, LCSW, a clinical associate and trainer with the Ackerman Institute. Approximately 50 educators from across Bergen County attended the day-long event, which included consultation, training and resources to create gender-inclusive schools. Those in attendance acquired a deeper understanding of gender diversity and its connection to academic and emotional success for all students. The GRPDA will again offer this worthwhile program in early February, 2017. Please visit us again soon for an update on registration information.
